Fasting Made Easy: Lose fat, keep muscle, and so much more
Greetings, and thank you for your interest in exploring my unique course on fasting. In my opinion, fasting is not dieting. Dieting implies calorie restriction eating to lose weight. When you eat, you keep the ghrelin hunger hormone signal active and when you restrict the amount you eat, the hunger hormone simply goes into overdrive. When I have tried dieting in the past, I was always hungry and therefore I was always miserable. I never felt like I could see the fat coming off my waist, but I could see and feel my muscles shrinking. In short, dieting has never worked for me. So why is fasting NOT dieting?When you fast, you stop eating and when you stop eating, your body responds to its genetic programming from our caveman/hunter-gatherer ancestors, and the hunger signal rapidly goes away. The ghrelin hunger signal comes in waves, like an alarm clock, and is not a valid indicator that your body requires caloric sustenance. So, when you get too busy and work through lunch, youll experience within a short period of time that the hunger signal has stopped. Then if you skip subsequent meals, as when fasting, each subsequent ghrelin hunger-signal wave gets smaller so that within 2-3 days the signals stop altogether and youre just not hungry anymore. Then fasting the non-diet diet is easy. Your body preferentially burns fat because of the hormones that the fasting state induces (lowered insulin, drastically raised human growth hormone), and the hGH also signals the body to retain its muscle, and recycle the amino acids released when the body continues and even accelerates its catabolic cleaning-house cycles to remove old cells and toxic deposits that have built up in the body. That cleaning cycle, known as apoptosis and autophagy, helps the body to rapidly heal and rejuvenate itself. So, if you are suffering from a cold, flu, cough, inflammation, high blood pressure, diabetes Type II, gastro-intestinal problems, organ challenges, skin conditions, cancer, etc, fasting can be a great adjunct to any treatment, helping to reduce symptoms because it attacks the problem at the root cause vice simply suppressing the symptoms and discomforts with drugs and medicine. This cleaning and detoxing cycle can be drastically improved by helping your body to continue and enhance its eliminative processes, so Ill cover various ways one could go about doing that. Ill also provide some hacks that Ive discovered and used to help me prevent hunger before, during, and after the fast, as well as what to do to quickly and easily get through the hunger waves that you might experience. As I mentioned above, at least one or two of these hacks have never been published or disclosed anywhere else, to my knowledge, as I discovered them by accident and trial-error while fasting over many iterations. Look, you dont have to jump into a long-term 30+ day fast to achieve amazing results. Ive tried 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 14-day fasts, and have had various degrees of success with each one: It simply depends on what your goal is, and that will help you make a more informed decision on the ideal time of your fast, which Ill cover in the course. When I sought to lose fat, my average fast with 7-10 days, but I noticed that anytime I went over 8 days the process was supercharged for me. When the hunger fades away, fasting is like coasting you can keep going without concerns or problems until the hunger comes back. Then just listen to your body and safely break your fast. Thus, when I experienced hunger at the 14-day mark in my longest fast, I ended the fast. Altogether, I dropped more than 5 inches from my stomach and more than 25 pounds in just a few short fasts, bringing me down to a trim, muscular 180 pounds and a 32 waist; something I havent had since high-school more than 30 years ago! There is no rebound effect in a fast, unlike dieting, and Ill address the science of why things happen when fasting in the course. This includes the effects fasting has on the energy bodies, which gives another view point as to why fasting works at a higher/deeper level. If you took my YuHe (healing) Qigong Energy Movement Course, you learned about the energy bodies and how Qigong can help to heal the structural level of the body. Fasting heals deeper-to-the-core issues and its primarily because of its ability to tap into a higher level of the energy body, which I cover in the course manual. Given this unique energy-environment while fasting, it thus becomes an excellent opportunity to work on your energy bodies for spiritual development. This fact has been recognized and exploited for thousands of years by every major religion and culture that Im aware of. I realize that many who take this course will not be interested in the spirituality aspects of it, and thats okay; simply skip that section. But for those who are interested and want to learn what Ive discovered and try it out for yourself, I include an exercise in the course that is designed to help you experience one (or more) of your energy bodies while youre in a fasted state.
