Have you wanted to build a TinyML device? In Deploying TinyML, you will learn the software, write the code, and deploy the model to your own tiny microcontroller-based device. Before you know it, you’ll be implementing an entire TinyML application. A one-of-a-kind course, Deploying TinyML is a mix of computer science and electrical engineering. Gain hands-on experience with embedded systems, machine learning training, and machine learning deployment using TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers, to make your own microcontroller operational for implementing applications such as voice recognition, sound detection, and gesture detection. The course features projects based on a TinyML Kit that includes an Arduino Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller with onboard sensors, a camera, and a breadboard with wires—enough to unlock capabilities such as image, sound, and gesture detection. You will need to purchase this proprietary kit in order to participate in the lessons for this course. Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) is one of the fastest-growing areas of deep learning and is rapidly becoming more accessible. The third course in the TinyML Professional Certificate program, Deploying TinyML provides hands-on experience with deploying TinyML to a physical device.
An excellent online course offered by edX: how it works
edX courses consist of weekly learning sequences. Each learning sequence is composed of short videos interspersed with interactive learning exercises, where students can immediately practise the concepts from the videos. The courses often include tutorial videos that are similar to small on-campus discussion groups, an online textbook, and an online discussion forum where students can post and review questions and comments to each other and teaching assistants. Where applicable, online laboratories are incorporated into the course.
edX offers certificates of successful completion and some courses are credit-eligible. Whether or not a college or university offers credit for an online course is within the sole discretion of the school. edX offers a variety of ways to take courses, including verified courses where students have the option to audit the course (no cost) or to work toward an edX Verified Certificate (fees vary by course). edX also offers XSeries Certificates for completion of a bundled set of two to seven verified courses in a single subject (cost varies depending on the courses).
